Maximilian Dobrovich
was born in Wr. Neustadt and commenced his musical enlightenment at the age of eight at the music school in Mattersburg (recorder, choir singing, violin). Later he moved on to the ‚Joseph Haydn Con-servatorium’ in Eisenstadt and from 1980 – 1985 he was a student in the class of Franz Samohyl at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
During his education he received the following awards: Jenő Takács-Competition in Eisenstadt, First Prize at the competition ‚Jugend musiziert’, Promotion-Prize of the Burgenland foundation ‚Theodor Kery’, Promotion Prize of the city of Eisenstadt.
Maximilian Dobrovich also took part in youth orchestra projects and courses like the international summer academy in Salzburg. He gained his first professional experience as a substitute at the Vienna State Opera and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 1985 he has been a member of the first violin group of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra. In addition, he worked as a soloist and chamber musician in the following ensembles: Franz Schubert Quartet Vienna, Ensemble ‚Bella Musica’, Wiener Concert Verein, Vienna Classical Players, Barockensemble of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble ‚Wiener Facetten’.
He also performs concerts violin/piano with Prof. Karl Barth (MUK Vienna).
Masterclass/Chamber Music projects in Japan, Switzerland, etc.
2010 he was awarded the „Anton Buckner Ring“ by he Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
